CFO / Vice President of Finance

About the role

This executive finance position leads the Finance Department, overseeing forecasting, planning, financial close, controls, AR, AP, treasury, payroll, IT, inventory control and customer profitability. The role works closely with the President and senior management to drive financial performance and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the annual profit plan (budget) and a rolling 3‑year long‑range plan.
• Produce monthly 18‑month rolling financial forecasts, incorporating macro‑economic and local factors.
• Conduct monthly business reviews, analyse results, and explain key drivers of variances to plan and prior year.
• Manage Finance Managers, Compliance, Inventory Control, Profit Management, IT, Payroll, Accounting and other direct reports.
• Identify cost‑control opportunities, recommend profitability improvements and support other departments in achieving their goals.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, internal controls and company financial policies.
• Participate in shrink, credit and other cross‑functional committees.
• Champion the use of Sysco’s analytical toolbox as the local expert.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of experience in a CFO, Finance Director or equivalent senior finance role.
• Preferred MBA or CPA qualification.
• Foodservice industry experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead large finance teams and drive strategic financial planning.
