Business and Economics Teacher (up to A Level)

About the role

King's College School, The Bahamas, a newly founded Inspired Education school that opened in August 2022, is looking for a Business and Economics teacher to teach up to A Level. The school is part of a global group of premium schools and is currently growing, having welcomed over 330 students from Pre-Reception to Year 10 for the 2026/27 academic year. The position starts in September 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that match the school's curriculum, policies and external assessment requirements, differentiating learning so each student makes outstanding progress.
• Assess students' in-class and at-home learning regularly and give targeted feedback to drive progress.
• Create a classroom and school environment where students feel valued, supported and ready to take risks in their learning.
• Work with colleagues to share best practice and develop professionally.
• Take an active part in co-curricular activities, from leading clubs to whole-school initiatives.
• Maintain open, constructive communication with parents to build strong partnerships.

Required profile

• PGCE, QTS or equivalent, with excellent academic credentials and, ideally, evidence of post-graduate study.
• Proven track record of excellence in personal, academic and professional achievements.
• Passion for the subject and expertise in assessing progress and supporting performance, including in external assessments.
• Experience of pastoral care and student wellbeing, with a focus on individual attention.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, able to plan a varied workload and work under pressure.
