English Teacher (KS2-KS4)

About the role

Inspired Education is recruiting an English teacher (KS2 to KS4) for King's College School, The Bahamas, a founding school of the group that opened in August 2022. The school is the only one in the region belonging to a global group of premium schools and has grown from 330 students in Pre-Reception to Year 10 for the 2026/27 academic year, adding a year group each year until Year 13. The new campus includes classrooms, science labs, sports facilities, arts studios and a beach-front boarding house. The school seeks someone with outstanding experience from the best schools worldwide, starting from September 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that match the school's curriculum, policies and external assessment requirements, differentiating learning so every student makes outstanding progress.
• Assess students' in-class and at-home learning regularly and give targeted feedback to drive progress.
• Create a classroom and school environment where students feel valued, supported and ready to take risks.
• Work with colleagues, share best practice and pursue your own professional development.
• Take part in co-curricular activities, from leading clubs to whole-school initiatives.
• Maintain open, constructive communication with parents and build strong partnerships.

Required profile

• PGCE, QTS or equivalent, with excellent academic credentials and, ideally, evidence of post-graduate study.
• Proven track record of excellence in personal, academic and professional achievements.
• Passion for education and for the subject, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
• Experience of pastoral care and student wellbeing, with a focus on individual attention.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, able to plan a varied workload and work under pressure.
