Computer Science Teacher

About the role

Inspired Education is recruiting a Computer Science teacher for King's College School, The Bahamas, a founding school of the group that opened in August 2022 and has grown to over 330 students from Pre-Reception to Year 10. The school sits on a newly built 10-acre campus with science labs, sports facilities and a boarding house, and is looking for someone to join the team from September 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that match the school's curriculum, policies and external assessment requirements.
• Assess students' in-class and at-home learning regularly and give targeted feedback to drive progress.
• Create a classroom and school environment where students feel valued, supported and ready to take risks.
• Work with colleagues to share best practice and develop professionally.
• Take part in co-curricular activities such as clubs and whole-school initiatives.
• Maintain open, constructive communication with parents.

Required profile

• PGCE, QTS or equivalent, with excellent academic credentials and ideally evidence of post-graduate study.
• Proven track record of excellence in personal, academic and professional achievements.
• Passion for the subject and expertise in assessing progress and giving feedback, including in external assessments.
• Experience in pastoral care and student wellbeing, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with families.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and strong organisational and administrative skills.
