Civil-Structural Technician - Exuma Road Improvement Project

About the role

Bron Ltd. is looking for a resident civil-structural technician (CST) to provide civil and structural engineering project administration and construction quality control on the Exuma Road Improvement (ExRIP) project on the island of Exuma. The position is full-time on the project, reporting to the resident project manager and liaising with the civil and structural teams.

Key responsibilities

• Civil and structural threshold inspections of all construction-related activities, including inspecting concrete pours during and after completion
• Manage communications (RFIs, site instructions, submittals, reports) and maintain an up-to-date log
• Attend meetings with the contractor to discuss quality concerns and quality assurance issues
• Accompany government agency representatives, design consultants and visiting team members on inspections and monthly site walks
• Issue weekly progress reports with photos and a monthly report combining them
• Undertake final inspections, prepare the completion certificate and witness testing
• Carry out technical inspections to ensure work follows the design intent and review as-built drawings

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from a reputable university
• Five years or more of experience on construction sites; structural engineering analysis experience preferred
• Reputable experience on luxury construction projects
• Willingness to relocate to Exuma for at least two years and to live on the development site
• Valid driver's license

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SureTrack and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
