Housekeeping Manager – Luxury Island Resort

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, hands‑on Housekeeping Manager to oversee daily housekeeping operations at a boutique island resort in Andros, Bahamas. The role ensures guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation, supporting an elevated guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Train, schedule, and support housekeeping staff to ensure efficiency and consistency.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met and maintained.
• Coordinate closely with front office and maintenance teams to support smooth operations.
• Manage housekeeping supplies, linen inventory, and equipment.
• Address guest requests and housekeeping‑related concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new housekeeping team members.
• Maintain daily records, reports, and cleaning schedules.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in housekeeping within a hotel, resort, or guesthouse environment.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness and presentation.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team in a hands‑on environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in an island or remote location.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Hospitality training or certifications are an asset.
