About the role

The Gourmet Hostess is the first point of contact for restaurant guests, responsible for greeting, seating, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience through knowledgeable service and coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Assign service stations to staff and verify appearance and uniform compliance.
• Check table settings for proper presentation and completeness.
• Seat guests, provide menus, and introduce servers while balancing customer flow.
• Communicate menu changes, specials, and service updates to staff.
• Inspect the restaurant for standards compliance and take corrective action.
• Handle guest complaints promptly and inform management of incidents.
• Oversee dining room operations during service, gather guest feedback, and adjust service as needed.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of all restaurant menu items, ingredients, and guest preferences.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to greet guests courteously and manage seating logistics.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced luxury environment.
