Kitchen Technician

About the role

The Kitchen Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all kitchen equipment at The Ocean Club, a Four Seasons Resort in the Bahamas. The role ensures equipment reliability, supports engineering services, and contributes to a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day maintenance and repairs on kitchen equipment to minimise downtime.
• Execute preventative maintenance programmes and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors to secure necessary tools, parts and supplies.
• Adhere to fire and safety procedures, including gas system safety protocols.
• Keep the engineering work area clean and organized at all times.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently, analyse problems and develop high‑quality solutions.
• Willingness to train and mentor other staff members.
• Legal right to work in the Bahamas without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Experience with gas systems and related safety procedures.
• Proficiency in preventative maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of fire safety and emergency protocols.
